If you’ve ever dreamed of a wedding in Tuscany but don’t exactly have a passport-ready guest list, let me introduce you to Burning Sky Farm. Tucked away in Longmont, Colorado, this private estate is one of those rare venues that makes you forget you’re even in Colorado at all. Instead of rustic barns or sweeping mountain backdrops (don’t get me wrong, those are beautiful too!), you’re greeted by stone walls, ivy-covered arches, and a home that feels like it’s straight out of the Italian countryside. It’s giving European villa energy.
Burning Sky Farm only hosts a handful of weddings each year, which means every couple who walks through those arched doorways gets something truly intimate and rare.

Colorado Ceremony Spaces & Romantic Drapery Backdrops
When it comes to ceremony spots at Burning Sky Farm, the options are dreamy. You can choose between wide open lawns, little tucked-away corners, or even a little lakeside moment.
For this styled shoot, we added a white drapery backdrop that was quite romantic. It was such a simple detail, but it elevated the whole ceremony space without competing with nature’s beauty. That’s thoughtful design.
If you’re dreaming up your own ceremony here, think of it as a blank canvas. The greenery, trees, and European villa backdrop are already doing the heavy lifting. Adding something like soft draping or a few intentional floral touches gives it that personal touch.

Burning Sky Farm Poolside Receptions & Elevated Table Settings
One of my favorite parts of Burning Sky Farm is the poolside reception setup! Seriously, how many venues can say they give you European villa and poolside dinner vibes at the same time? It’s such a unique feature, and it instantly makes the celebration feel a little more relaxed.
For this shoot, we set a long table dressed in crisp white linens, lined with classic black chairs that gave a bold, modern contrast. Add in butter-yellow candles and fluffy white florals, and you have fresh, elegant, and fun.
The pool creates a reflection with the sun, while the villa’s stone walls and climbing vines frame the entire set up in the background. Dining al fresco here feels like you’re tucked away at a countryside estate in Italy… except you’re only a short drive from Denver. How cool is that?
