Colorado Mountain Wedding in Telluride

Weddings

Mistica and Trent’s Colorado mountain wedding felt calm, intentional, and really true to who they are. It was simply a meaningful day in the mountains with the people they love most.

They found my work on Instagram and told me they were instantly drawn to my editing style. We jumped on a phone call soon after, and it was one of those conversations that just flowed. By the end of it, we all knew it was a great fit, and the rest fell right into place.

Mistica and Trent knew they wanted something small and personal. They chose to get married in Telluride with only their immediate family and best friends by their side, focusing on connection. This wedding mattered because it was about doing things their way. And getting to tell that story, exactly as it unfolded, is the kind of work I care most about.

From a Cozy Cabin to a Mountain-Top “I Do”

The day started slow and sweet at a gorgeous cabin tucked into the mountains of Telluride. Getting ready felt relaxed and unrushed, with laughter floating through the rooms and excitement building as the day unfolded.

Afterward, we hopped into a jeep and headed up the mountain for what turned into such a fun little adventure. The jeep tour guides were absolute pros, once we told them the kind of views we were hoping for, they went out of their way to help us find the perfect spot. We pulled over when it felt right, stepped out, and just knew this was it.

During their ceremomy, they took a moment for everyone to pray over them. A sunny August afternoon, cool mountain air, barely any wind, and not a cloud in sight. Truly one of those rare Colorado days where everything shows up exactly as you hoped it would. I couldn’t have asked for better conditions, or a better group of people to share it with.

Their Super 8mm Wedding Film

Capturing Mistica and Trent’s Colorado mountain wedding on Super 8mm felt like the perfect fit. The film has this natural, nostalgic quality that makes everything feel more like a memory with soft movement, real moments, and all the in-between magic. Watching it back feels like stepping right into their Telluride mountainside day. Press play below to see it all unfold.

Planning a Colorado Mountain Wedding in Telluride

If a Telluride wedding or elopement is on your mind, I truly don’t blame you. This place makes it way too easy to fall in love. Between the mountain views, cozy town vibes, and endless adventure options, it’s such a fun spot to turn your wedding weekend into a full experience.

If you’re into exploring, jeep tours like the one Mistica and Trent did are such a cool way to find tucked-away ceremony spots with unreal views. Wandering around town, grabbing good food, or just soaking in the scenery with your people is honestly just as special as the “big moments.” Slow mornings and golden-hour walks are always a yes.

For places to stay, there are some great options depending on your vibe. Hotel Telluride is cozy and central, while The Peaks Resort & Spa is perfect if you’re wanting something a little more elevated with spa views and mountain energy. And if you’re dreaming bigger, Telluride has some stunning luxury venue options too—spots like San Sophia Overlook or venues through Telluride Ski Resort offer those iconic alpine backdrops couples travel for.

Days like this are exactly why I love telling stories in places like this. If you’re planning something intimate, adventurous, and deeply personal in the mountains, I’m already cheering you on, and I’d love to be part of it.
