Cassidy and Danny’s wedding day was such a joy to capture—especially because it included a little bit of everything I love: digital photos, film, and of course, Super 8 wedding videography. These two were already officially married, but this was the day they finally got to stand in front of all their favorite people and share vows with the most magical Colorado mountains wrapping them up in love. It was the big celebration their hearts (and their families!) had been waiting for.
Camp Hale will always hold a special place in my heart, not just because it’s breathtaking, but because I got married there, too! When Cassidy and Danny reached out, I knew I had the inside scoop on the best little corners and views this spot has to offer.
The weather could not have been more perfect—it was one of those golden Colorado summer days. Warm sunshine, clear skies, and the most colorful palette woven through their details. The bright florals and vibrant bridesmaids’ dresses popped so beautifully against the blue water and green mountains.

The Details That Made It Unforgettable
I just want to take a moment for Cassidy’s style. Her dress was stunning on its own, but the way she paired it with that chic little scarf accessory—it was iconic. Truly one of those looks that will live rent-free in my brain forever.
The colorful bridesmaid dresses were such a perfect match for the day—bright, bold, and fun. One of my favorite personal touches was the custom napkins with notes Cassidy and Danny had written to each other. It was personal and a little unconventional.
The Hythe in Vail deserves its own spotlight here! That’s where the couple and their crew stayed, got ready, hosted the rehearsal dinner, and threw the afterparty. It’s such a beautiful hotel, stylish but still cozy, and it was honestly the perfect home base for their wedding weekend. I loved that their guests got to soak up that little slice of Vail magic, too—it set the tone for everything.

Capturing It All: Digital, Film, & Super 8 Wedding Videography
One of my favorite parts of this whole story is how Cassidy and Danny found me. Their planner connected us, and right away, they loved the idea of mixing digital and film photos with Super 8 wedding videography. My true-to-color editing style drew them in (which makes my little film-loving heart so happy!), and the fact that, as a fellow Camp Hale bride, I already knew this place like the back of my hand.
For their day, I blended digital, film, and Super 8—and honestly, it felt like the perfect recipe. Digital gave us those crisp, vibrant shots that really displayed all the colors Cassidy dreamed up. Film added a dreamy, textured layer of nostalgia. And Super 8 was the grainy, imperfect opportunity to relive it all over again. Together, the three mediums told a timeless story. I feel so grateful I got to capture it all through my lenses, layering their memories in a way that feels true to who they are.
