Gab and Tanner’s pregnancy announcement photoshoot came together in one of those meant-to-be ways that I love so much. They weren’t even local, which honestly makes it even better. They were on their babymoon in Breckenridge and decided to turn a simple getaway into something a little more special.
Gab is a wedding photographer herself, so she already has such a beautiful eye for storytelling. From the start, she knew she didn’t want anything overly styled, but something more relaxed and true to them. There’s something really special about photographing someone who understands the magic behind what we do, yet still just wants to feel the moment rather than overthink it.
Something I’ve noticed is that when someone who knows photography chooses simplicity, it’s never by accident. It’s intentional so that the focus stays exactly where it should be. The whole session unfolded so naturally. Those are the moments that matter most.

Effortless Style, Real Moments, and Letting the Bump Shine
Their outfits are exactly what I mean when I say simple just works. Gab kept it super casual with denim and a fitted top, and Tanner matched that easy, laid-back vibe. When you’re not worrying about every little detail, you actually get to be present. Gab totally gave her bump its moment, too, which I loved. The ultrasound strip was such a sweet touch (I’m always a sucker for that), but it never took over the story. We kept the posing really playful and relaxed with lots of movement, just letting them interact how they naturally would.

A Warm, Spring Pregnancy Announcement Photoshoot in Boulder, CO
This whole evening felt like magic in the softest, most easygoing way. Boulder really showed off for us with its open fields, iconic mountain views, and a stunning sky. It was a warm spring night, and the light stayed soft and gentle, wrapping everything in a cozy glow. Love when the setting does half the work for you. Pregnancy announcement photoshoots are a memory unfolding in real time where you wish you could bottle it up forever. Getting to document that for them was the best feeling.
